Are you looking for a really quick quilting project? One
that you can whip up in an afternoon?
Then I’ve got the project for YOU!

This one won’t sit in your work in progress (“WIP”) pile. It’s
OK, we’ve ALL got them 😉

It won’t require hours upon hours of cutting.
You can make the colourway as complex or as simple as you like.
Spoiler – I’ve included a colouring page to help you do just that!
And, it has amazing visual impact!!

That’s a lot to pack into a quilty project!

And the Plus Infinity Mini Quilt does just that!!

I originally made this back in the Spring when I had some
scraps left over from the Spring is in the Air quilt and I wanted to continue playing!
There was no plan at that time. Just pretty scraps beckoning
me to see what else I could create that would be entirely different.
Out came the Rainbow Plus Mini!

You had such a positive response to her that I just knew I
had to whip up the instructions to share it with you.
Funny how that works out!
This time around, I thought it would be fun to change it up
and explore what the design would look like using just solids in shades of
greens and blues from RJR Fabrics Cotton Supreme Solids collection.
I wanted to give you different visuals, so you could consider what look best
fit with your creative exploration.

Since there are several small pieces, you could make this
entirely scrappy too and use up some of those bits sitting in your scrap fabric
stash! Who doesn’t need a project to help diminish that pile?!

The bonus is, if you’re looking to jazz up your home décor with
your own personal touches, this quilt makes for a perfect wall hanging. Hang it
in your studio. Your living room. Your bedroom. Anywhere that you want to
inject a little of your own personality and admire your creative work!

Or, with the holidays coming up, it would also make a
perfect gift for that someone who seems to already have everything 😉
Everyone deserve a little handmade goodness in their life! Show them you care and make them their very own wall hanging!

For those with little ones on the way or attending a baby
shower and in need of a gift ideas, there are instructions on how to turn this mini into the perfect crib
quilt. You could always add some embroidery to make it extra special for the nursery.

The mini finishes at 30” x 30” while the crib size finishes
at 36” x 52”.
Cause sometimes you just need options, right?!

There really are so many variations to consider with this pattern.
Created by Brooke from Oh Sew Brooke
Just look at the beautiful version Brooke, from Oh Sew Brooke, created using
various florals from Bari J. fabrics. She described it as “windows looking into
a garden”. How fab is that?!
That’s what is so perfect about quilt patterns, you get to
put your own stamp on it and make it truly uniquely your own.

Plus, your fabric options are not the only way to explore
your creativity! Your quilting can add a whole other layer of dimension!

Since it’s such a small project, why not add some additional
texture with some big stitch hand quilting?! Those little stitches add just the
right amount of personality and draw your eye even further into the pattern
design. Here is a full list of pearl cotton thread resources to help you get started.
The pattern includes fabric requirements for using one
fabric for the backing, but this is another opportunity to bust through your fabric scrap
stash. You could use up the leftover fabric from piecing the front (which is what you see
here). Or combine remnants from another project that coordinates. And remember, if
you plan on using this as a wall hanging, the back won’t be seen very often.
So, don’t stress. Have fun. And maybe even give improv quilting a go!

your WIP pile 😊
